How to create professional Online/Offline reports

We use online reports to view data. Data can be sorted, filtered, exported in different formats, transferred via email or delivered in printed format to the CEO.

We might work on a report which contains info about books we sold in the past 8 months or a report on the amount of cars purchased by the people in New York state. Reports usually contain important and very specific information, equipped with filtering and searching mechanisms.

Design Techniques for UI, UX Designers

Adobe Photoshop | Layers

There are a few techniques how you can design web sites or online applications.

  • you work on a brand new UI using Adobe Photoshop.
  • you work on a brand new design using Adobe Illustrator.
    (If your output is .psd format, file can be opened in Adobe Photoshop for future adjustments.)

Pros and cons of each technique
From my professional experience I would say it depends on the company you are working on/client and your expertise. Some companies are always asking to deliver high fidelity designs in 300dpi. In this case you began designing in Adobe Illustrator.
Other companies will ask you to deliver 72 dpi designs, in this case if you select Photoshop, you are on the right track.

Browsers

Google Chrome, Opera, Mozilla FirefoxIn the nearest future, the internet will become a high-end platform for online applications.

We call browser a platform installed on a user machine. Platform means that browsers are not only responsible for correct display of images and text but for delivering high-end, rich user experience.

We ask different users what they think about browsers: “The browser is where I’m doing my search, to find things”, “Browser is Google”, “Browser is Yahoo”, “Browser, it is Mozilla Firefox or Safari”

Some users can’t really tell the difference between a browser and a search engine, they call Google browser but it’s not, Google is a search platform incorporated with many other features such  as: Gmail, Google Docs, Google talk etc., Google release open source web browser – Google Chrome in December 2008, as a part of Google Chromium Project.
